The beginning of my novel (an extremely rough draft thats not even complete)
Adventures begin at the crossroads between curiosity and self-discovery. Unfortunately this adventure (or possibly fortunately for the cynical sort) does not take place at this intersection instead opting to take place on the glory of an interstate highway. It is often considered taboo to describe such a mundane subject is such a mundane matter as it often creates mundane conflicts to be resolved by mundane characters. It is with this in mind that that I so nobly embark on a task to write the most boring piece of inane literature that surely will fondly be remembered by the fat, sweaty friendless English majors of days gone by in the future.
To be cherished by the scholars of the future will truly be an honor that not many of my kin as writers will surely be able to experience due to their crippling alcoholism but also in equal parts to their equally poorly conceived works of leather bound schlock. History has only so many spots for writers with genius and charisma but regrettably people plagiarizing (retract previous statement) rewriting classic tomes from yesteryear with the addition of zombies or ninjas will have no place in this world.
